My Cutiepie

Every time I try to upload this cute little nittu’s pic.. My blog just doesnt co-operate..Today atlast Iam successful.

This is my cute little puppy Nithya..I picked her from my college about two and a half years back..I brought her home in my college bag hidden from the bus conductor’s eyes..She was really curious and kept popping her little head out of my bag..

She is two and a half year old now..and still as curious, naughty and at times completely stupid..But nevertheless my most adorable little darling

Fake Green Leaves

Hatred spread by fake green leaves,
Hearts torn apart running behind these,
Happiness is not what will be achieved,
Sorrow is that which will increase.

Greed shining in their eyes,
Humanity murdered in bright daylight,
Innocence lost, withering mankind,
Guiding light nowhere in sight.

Puppets of Almighty’s decision.

Lost in the world of illusions,
Travelling through lanes of confusions,
Searching for a road to our destination,
Puppets of Almighty’s decision.

Cross-roads and winding directions,
Ears hear suggestions,
Dilemma engulfs all resolutions,
Puppets of Almighty’s decision.

Floods in Bangalore

Well, Four years in Bangalore and i have never seen rains like this…

It took me two hours to come home from Shivajinagar which is about fifteen minutes away from my home. The roads were flooded and cars were literally swimming in the rain.On Cunningham road vehicles were trying hard to move in the traffic .There was an accident under the railway bridge near Mt Carmel college.Trees were uprooted.People were wading thru knee deep water in Vasanthnagar.

Sankey tank was overflowing. It has been for a few days now.But nothing much has been done about it..

There was a mini creek flowing through the Cricket grounds in St Josephs College of Arts and Science. The roads surrounding the college were jammed and students had to walk through ankle deep water. This was at 4pm. Iam sure by now(8.30pm) it would be worse.

The Traffic Police have declared a holiday for educational institutions tomorrow and day after.
Let me wait and check tomorrows newspaper and find out whom the City Municipal corporation is going to blame for this and what Mr.Dharam Singh has to say about this?????????

My Radio Show on 8th Oct

For the first time i played some trance and dance music on my show on FM Rainbow 101.3 yesterday.Iam more of a rock freak (Green day, Metallica,Staind,Trapt,..All the head banging and Rock on!! stuff).

I reach the studio early at 4, though my show doesnt start till 6,I had butterflies in my stomach, was still wondering whether i should dive into this change of genre or stick to rock. After a lot of thinking I bravely ventured into playing some other genre of music which i dont really listen to.After all being an RJ is all about playing music which your listeners wants to listen to, and dance music on a saturday evening was more apt.

6 pm, and the power goes of..
” What a start ” i think and wait for the power to come back, and at 6.05 i start my show..Axel F-Street frog, A really funky number,

“Good evening Bangalore,You are tuned into Fm Rainbow 101.3 and this is your friend Shubha on air with you on this rainy saturday evening…”I make a start and wait for the messages to pour in.

David Guetta-Just a little more love
The Chemical Brothers-get Urself High
Laurent Conrad-Haunted
Jentina- French Kisses(E-Smoove Edit)
Benny Benassi- Time
Goldfrapp- Strict Machine( Benny Benassi sfaction edit)
Motorcycle-As the rush Comes
Jaydee-Plastic dreams(Radio Edit)
Danzel-Pump it up
Bodi$e-Come Deliver ( Xpression on infringed)
Tomoyasu Hotel-Battle without honor or equality
Jamelia-Superstar ( Original mix)
Syndicate of law- Strange love
Starsailor-Four to the floor
Kelis-Milkshake( xpress mix)

Messages pour in as iam playing these tracks..And..Hmmm..I guess i did do justice to dance music. My listeners were actually enjoying and dancing to the stuff i was playing , Pubs and discs in Bangalore dont allow people to dance anymore, so my listeners were dancing to the music i was playing at the comfort of their homes.Joydeep and Abhijeet kept sending messages with requests for songs ..
The only problem i faced during my show was the frequent power failures which myself and my listeners had to bear with.

Soon it was 8pm and time for me to take a break, So after reading the 8 Pm news i take an hours break and also help Yadunandan, my Co RJ who does the Kannada shows with his “Dinner TIme” Programme.

9pm..Its time for Mast 101.3,a youth programme where i played some dhinchak hindi music and also discussed a topic,

“Every other new hindi movie release is about some gangsters life ,So what does the youth of Bangalore think about such movies?. Should they be banned or made available to mature, above 18 audience?”

I got mixed responses.and we came to a conclusion that its all in the mind.A person can take the good part of the movie and ignore the bad violence part, or rather take the movie as a lesson for not taking to violence

I was so involved in the talk and listening to my listeners views that i didnt realise that it was 10 pm till Yadu walked into the studio with his Cds.

Time for me to leave? ..No ..I had to wait for my cab to pick me up and drop me home, and so i decided to sit down with Yadu and listen to “Nenapina Doni” A saturday bonanza of old kannada film songs.I completely enjoyed listening to those melodies songs from yesteryears.

11pm and iam off home, tuned into my competitor on my radio set and checking out what they are playing on a saturday night…
